For the past 5 years we have been experiencing unprecedented growth and are now seeking an experienced Payroll Administrative Professional to join our growing team.
A member of the Payroll Service Team, the Payroll Administrative Specialist, is responsible for processing assigned payrolls and analyzing, processing and ensuring timely handling of all employee records.
Responsibilities Include:
? Build and maintain rapport, engagement and the highest customer service levels, with client base as an adviser on payroll related matters, collaborating with other Alcott HR team members as necessary
? Ensuring the timely analysis and handling of all employee records from hire through termination
To accomplish the above functions the following responsibilities exist:
? Responsible for processing assigned payrolls utilizing the HRIS system
? Maintaining compliance with company policies and government regulations
? Reviews payroll to ensure accuracy by examining work for exactness, neatness and issues written and verbal instructions to clients to ensure compliance to proper procedures.
? Maintains current knowledge of the payroll processing system and changes in wage and tax laws, and corresponds with federal, state and local tax agencies on behalf of the client.
? Coordinate and process new hire paperwork in accordance with timelines for payroll processing. Collaborating with other Alcott HR team functional areas when necessary. Including;
o Notification to Payroll Specialist of any special pay items
o Working with Risk Management for appropriate job classification for workers compensation setup
o Consulting with HR Department to ensure appropriate FLSA status
o Accrual setup
Successful Candidates will possess:
? Well-rounded experience in the Payroll field with 5 or more years of payroll processing experience, multi-state experience preferred
? Professional and adaptable communication skills and rapport building (verbal & written) with individuals at all levels of an organization
? Understanding of federal and state employment regulations, strong familiarity with Wage and Hour regulations
? Customer service orientation
? MS Word and MS Excel proficiency
? Familiarity with HRIS and/or payroll systems
? Ability to learn and work in a Windows based database system
Associates Degree and FPC or CPP preferred.
